The Minister of Justice participates in 28th International Congress of Notaries

The Minister of Justice participates in the 28th International Congress of Notaries. The President of the International Union of Notaries, Mr. Daniel Cedar Senghor personally invited Ms. Tea Tsulukiani. The Chairman of the Notary Chamber of Georgia, Ms. Nino Khoperia as well as the delegations from the member states of the International Union of Notaries attended the Congress.

The Minister of Justice of France, Mr. Jean-Jacques Urvuas opened the Congress of Notaries. The participants were welcomed by the President of the Congress Mr. Lionel Galliez, the President of International Union Mr.  Daniel Cedar Senghor, the Head of Notaries in France Mr. Pierre Luc Vogel and others.

The 28th International Congress of Notaries will work for two days. The delegations will submit the presentations on topics such as: notary, as a trusted third party for the citizens, business and the state; electronic notary acts, technical and legal issues; European Regulations on International Heritage. Following the completion of the presentations, there will be held the round table and debate, where the members of the delegation are able to share their experience to each other, discuss the actual issues of the various countries, discuss the interesting practical examples.

During the congress it has been decided that Georgia will host the meetings of the Board of International Congress of Notaries in the spring of 2017 and accept more than 250 guests from every country of the world.

The Notary Chamber of Georgia became the member of International Union in 2007. The Chairman of the Chamber Ms. Nino Khoperia is a member of European Affairs Commission of the International Union of Notaries. The Georgian Notaries actively cooperate with the notaries of the member countries of the Union, participate in meetings and conferences, host the international conferences, the European legislative acts are translated into Georgian.

In 2016, Georgia hosted the International Conference of Notaries. Such a large-scale event with the participation of the Chairman of the International Union of Notaries and 14 member countries of the Union was held in our country for the first time.
