Council of the Notariat of the European Union promised to support the Notariat of Georgia

The chairman of the Board of Notary Chamber of Georgia, Ms. Nino Khoperia  announced the initiative of the Minister of Justice of Georgia on the readiness of the Notariat of Georgia to join the European Union of Notaries at one of the meetings of the members of International Union of Notaries. The meeting was held in Rio de Janeiro.

The chairman of the Council of the Notariats of the European Union, Mr. Jean Tarrade and representatives of Internal Union of Notaries promised to support the Notariat of Georgia.

"The Notariat of Georgia has a chance to be granted an observing member status of the Council of the Notariats of the European Union which is very important at the stage when our country aspires to European integration. The actively cooperation with the notariats of EU Member States will more promote the development of the Notariat of Georgia, "- said Ms. Nino Khoperia.

The Notary Giorgi Chitashvili attended the meetings held in Rio de Janeiro and he got familiar with the experience of notariats of International EU Member States. “The model of mandatory appointment of notaries in region for the purpose of raising the availability of notary services is the European standard. For example, in Germany, a notary is appointed in the region for 5 year term,"- says Mr. Giorgi Chitashvili.

At the initiative of the Minister of Justice of Georgia, the new generation notaries are actively involved in deepening the International Relations and reforms of Notariat.
