Seminar for introducing the amendments made in the Civil Code

With organization of the Training Center of the Notary Chamber of Georgia, a seminar for notaries for introducing the amendments made in the Civil Code was held. The matter concerns to the legal status of persons acknowledged as incapable by the court and change of procedural norms.

Seminar was conducted by the representatives of the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia and LEPL Social Service Agency. At performing any notary act notary proves the capacity of its participants. Proving is especially vital in case of execution of bargains.

In 2013 year for protection of safety of citizens an electronic database of Georgian citizens acknowledged as incapable by the court was created at the Notary Chamber. As a result, verification of data of incapable persons and protection of interests and rights of citizens (including incapable ones) has been simplified.
