Actions for increase of availability of notary services start

Notary Chamber of Georgia starts actions for the population of regions and villages of Georgia, where notary services are less available. The representatives of the Chamber shall time after time arrive in such regions and local population will be rendered legal consultations and number of notary acts will be performed as well (Granting Power of Attorney, Statement, certifying the genuineness of the copy of original document, etc).

The first meeting was with the internally displaced persons living in Tserovani. They had to go to Mtskheta for getting the notary services. They approved the initiative of the Notary Chamber and noted that acquiring of such services locally is very comfortable. Furthermore, the population of Tserovani also got exhaustive consultations on the matters being of interest for them. The meeting was also attended by Shota Rekhviashvili, the Deputy Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia.

In recent years notary services are more available for the population of many Georgian regions.

Before 2014 quite many regions of Georgia lacked notaries. Throughout the years local population had to go to the neighboring regions for getting the notary services. It was certainly associated with extra charges. At the initiative of the Minister of Justice of Georgia, notaries were eventually appointed in the regions lacking notary bureaus, also in the cities and regions, where number of notaries was not enough.

Starting from 2015 year the population of various regions of Georgia may enjoy the notary services at the Public Centers. By furtherance of the Ministry of Justice and State Services Development Agency, notary services are already available in three Public Centers (villages Kvaretskali (Akhmeta Region), Mejvriskhevi (Gori Regiona) and Mukhaestate (Kobuleti Region).

In the nearest future notary services will be equally available for any citizen residing within the Georgian territory.
