Georgia participating in the meeting of Commission of European Affairs of the International Union of Latin Notaries

Nino Khoperia, the chairman of the Board of Notary Chamber of Georgia is participating in the meeting of Commission of European Affairs of UINL. Two-day meeting is held in the Republic of San-Marino.

The following issues are discussed at the meeting: ,,Notariat historically and nowadays”, Role of the state and notariat in determining the number and territorial arrangement of notaries”. Moreover, delegates will present accounts on the legislative reforms carried out in notariat.

Notary Chamber of Georgia has become the member of UINL since 2007 year. Georgian notaries actively cooperate with their colleagues from UINL member states, participate in international conferences and meetings. Furthermore, Georgia has three times hosted the international conference. Last year the most large-scale conference with 60 representatives of notariats from 15 countries participating in it was held in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Enhancement of international relations, sharing of experience of other states is very important for the development of Georgian notariat. Foreign colleagues visiting Georgia are also acquainted with the reforms carried out in notariat by the Georgian notaries. In the view of introducing electronic services, Georgia is still the innovator country. Georgia is the only country where notary services are performed on-line.
