72 MORE NOTARIES WILL PERFORM MEDIATOR FUNCTIONS

Workshops in notary mediation for newly appointed and regional notaries have been completed. 72 more notaries substantially studied fundamental mediation principles and privileges, actions and technology at each stage of the mediation process. These notaries will get respective certificates and they will be authorized to perform mediator functions.

The workshops were carried out by a Polish expert together with trainers of the “Georgian Mediation Center”. Notaries passed the training in a staged manner.

 Notary mediation is an optional simplified form of dispute regulation. The dispute is settled without involvement of the court only with assistance of a notary. This service was introduced in Georgia since 2012. Notary performs mediator functions in inheritance, family, neighborhood and other disputes of tangible and intangible character. After regulation of the dispute a notary makes a notarized document, a conciliation act, where liabilities of the parties are specified.

The disputing parties regulate the dispute with assistance of a notary simply, cheaply and in comfortable environment.
